The supply of Turkish Bayraktar drones to Ukraine is painfully perceived by the Russian society. Russian Ambassador to Turkey Alexey Yerkhov told Aydınlık newspaper of Turkey, TASS reported.

"The ‘business is business’ explanations are not understood [among the Russian society], as your drones kill our soldiers; the Bayraktars are bought for that very purpose. By the way, I would like to remind that a country aspiring to become an ally of Turkey has a habit of handing over a large number of weapons to those against whom the Turkish soldiers are fighting, and Ankara does not like that very much. Why should we [i.e., Russia] like it? By the way, I want to immediately prevent attempts at unscrupulous comments to turn the ‘arrows’ in Russia's direction. We do not give weapons to those people against whom the Turkish army is fighting; and Turkey knows this very well," Yerkhov said.
