Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Russia's second attempt to convene a UN Security Council meeting "did not succeed", as the first one.

He recalled that the day before, the Russian side demanded an urgent meeting of the Security Council on the situation in the Ukrainian Bucha, but the British presidency spoke against it.

"Our attempt today was also unsuccessful," Lavrov said.

He added, however, that the Russian side intends to continue "exposing fakes" about the war in Ukraine.
