Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has once again said that he is ready to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but did not rule out that the meeting may not take place, UNIAN reported.
According to him, it is necessary that in such negotiations Ukraine has a stronger position than Russia, so it is necessary to unite society, a powerful weapon. "This is not going to be an issue, whether we want it or not. It will be a question of negotiations. The only question is how strong you will be at the negotiating table. And it depends on these important points," he said.
According to Zelenskyy, today it is easiest to think that negotiations with Putin are unnecessary. "The easiest thing to say is that I won't talk to you. And it's understandable why - after what you've done... To recognize them as the enemy, to know that this is a particular war of Russia against Ukraine. To recognize all of this. We believe that this is genocide, that they should all be punished for it, and with all this position, find opportunities to meet. And in that meeting to find a way out of this situation," he added.
"It may happen that there won't be a meeting. It could happen," Zelenskyy said.
