A group of people who have been displaced from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) are holding a protest and a sit-in strike at Yerevan Republic Square Thursday.

"We have launched a signature campaign where there are about 3,000 signatures. Our demand is to return to the homeland," Levon Hayryan, the chairman of "For Hadrut" NGO, told reporters.

He added that the Armenian state does not pursue a policy of protecting the people of Artsakh.

Also, Hayryan announced that they will stage a sit-in outside the UN office in Armenia, too, and demand a meeting in order to present their issues to them as well.
