Australia will provide even more lethal military assistance to Ukraine following President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's address to Parliament last week, the Australian Foreign Office said, CNN reported.
Australia delivered to Ukraine five cargoes of C-17 military support – lethal and non-lethal. Australia is in the process of preparing the Bushmaster armored personnel carrier that President Zelenskyy requested. They will be delivered as soon as possible, Foreign Minister Marise Payne said.
Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced that more military aid would be sent to Ukraine.
The new package includes tactical unmanned air and ground systems, rations and medical supplies, Morrison's office said in a statement.
Since the start of the war, Australia has provided about $70 million worth of lethal aid to Ukraine.
