One of the topics discussed at the meeting in Brussels was the matter of opening of regional communications, around which we have recorded some misunderstandings and agreed to continue working to find solutions. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the government of Armenia—and speaking about the results of his meeting in Brussels Wednesday with European Council President Charles Michel and Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev.

"One of the important issues of the discussion was the humanitarian issues. The President of the European Council stressed the need to release all the captives.

We also discussed the possibility of cooperating to find out the fate of those persons who are considered missing. Let me remind that after the two Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] wars, we have 985 people whose whereabouts are unknown; 208 people are from the 44-day war [in the fall of 2020], 777 people—from the first Artsakh war [in the early 1990s]. We must continue the work aimed at finding out their fate," the Armenian premier added.
