Iran has reached an agreement with a number of countries to unfreeze assets worth $7 billion frozen in foreign banks at the request of the US, IRNA reports.
According to the agreement reached between Iran and a number of countries, the necessary framework for unlocking a significant part of the country's frozen assets was determined and agreed.
These funds can be transferred to Iran's accounts within a few weeks.
The process for releasing these funds is similar to the process agreed with the UK, in which funds in the amount of about 470 million euros were transferred to Iran's accounts.
