Switzerland has frozen about $8.03 billion in funds and assets under sanctions against Russia, Erwin Bollinger, an official at the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) agency that oversees sanctions, said on Thursday, Reuters reported.

The assets included money in frozen bank accounts and real estate in four Swiss cantons.

Currently, about 7.5 billion Swiss francs are blocked based on sanctions against Russia, said Bollinger, a senior official.
