Opposition public and political figure and former MP Ruben Hakobyan has been charged with severely insulting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia. Hakobyan’s lawyer, Varazdat Harutyunyan, informed about this to reporters Saturday.
The attorney added that Hakobyan has refused to testify because, according to the lawyer, the respective criminal case is fabricated and is directed against Hakobyan's political position.
The lawyer informed that the criminal case was sent to the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
