Slovakia may sell some of its Zuzana self-propelled howitzers to Ukraine, Defense Minister Yaroslav Naj said, Reuters reports.
The Zuzana 2 howitzer, an upgraded version of an older model, uses 155 mm rounds and has an effective range of 40 to over 50 km depending on the type of ammunition.
According to Interior Minister Roman Mikulets, Slovakia could also send MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine.
According to Naj, Slovakia will soon have a problem with the maintenance of the MiG-29, so Russian specialists are leaving the country. According to the minister, if the MiGs are decommissioned before the delivery of American F-16 fighters in 2024, the Slovaks could provide airspace protection, for example, by the Americans from bases in Poland.
