Geologists from the Norwegian oil and gas company Equinor have discovered a new oil and gas field in the territorial waters of Norway, in the Fram and Troll area, the company's website reported.

According to preliminary estimates, its reserves reach about 4-8 million cubic meters of gas and 25-50 million barrels of oil.

Norway has been extracting natural gas and oil since 1971. To date, the Scandinavian country satisfies 15% of the EU's demand for hydrocarbons.
