Inflation in Kazakhstan in March reached 12%, said Chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan Galymzhan Pirmatov, noting that this is the highest figure since September 2016.

Thus, inflation in Kazakhstan reached its peak value. Acceleration occurred from 8.7 to 12%.

Contribution to inflation was made by food products, the rise in prices for which accelerated from 10 to 15.4%. Potatoes, cabbage, sugar and tomatoes have risen in price significantly.
