Inflation in Germany in March of this year reached more than 7%, which was the highest since the reunification of the country in 1990, according to the Federal Statistical Office.
Consumer prices in Germany in the first month of spring increased by 7.3% compared to the same period in 2021.
Inflation reached a similar level in the autumn of 1981, while oil prices rose sharply due to the consequences of the Iran-Iraq war.
In February 2022, inflation in Germany amounted to 5.1%, in January - 4.9%. Compared to February, consumer prices rose 2.5% in March.
