YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd newspaper of Armenia writes: Two days ago, the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan—Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov—had had a telephone conversation. It had followed the [Armenia PM] Nikol Pashinyan-[Azerbaijan President] Ilham Aliyev meeting held in Brussels. According to the [Armenian foreign] ministry’s announcement, the ministers of the two countries exchanged views on the delimitation and formation of a border security commission, the preparation of peace talks, and humanitarian issues.

The correspondent of Zhoghovurd daily spent the whole day yesterday trying to find out details from the ruling wing [the “Civil Contract” (CC) Faction] of the National Assembly [(NA)]—both about the above-mentioned telephone conversation and the Pashinyan-Aliyev meeting on April 6. The CC MPs, however, did not know any other details beyond the official announcements.

When hearing questions about Armenia's foreign policy, the pro-government MPs avoid and are in a "hurry," apparently wanting to gently hide that after meetings, negotiations or telephone conversations, their accountable government cabinet does not provide details [to], has no discussions [with them]; in short, is not accountable to the NA.

The CC MPs urged to wait for the next announcement of the [foreign] ministry or the government regarding possible future meetings or telephone conversations regarding the normalization of the Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.
