Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, in his speech in the National Assembly Wednesday, spoke also about the failures of the country’s government in 2021, noting as such the invasion of the Azerbaijani army units on May 12, at the Sotk-Khoznavar sector of Armenia.

Pashinyan considered the aforesaid a failure of the Armenian government and armed forces, but added that the way the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) reacted to all that is also the failure of that organization.

"Despite the existing procedures, the CSTO to this day has not made a decision to conduct monitoring at the area in question, justifying the long-standing fear among the Armenian public that this organization, which is of utmost importance for Armenia's security system, will not launch anything at the right time, remaining in the status of an observer. The fact is that the CSTO to this day has not addressed this situation in any way—even in the status of an observer,” the Armenian PM noted, in particular.
