The United Kingdom will support Sweden and Finland in their bid for NATO membership, British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss reported.
Sweden and Finland are free to choose their future without interference - the UK will support any decision they make, she tweeted.
Sweden and Finland must decide by the summer whether to apply to join the alliance.
