Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov and Armenian foreign minister Ararat Mirzoyan have discussed the current bilateral and regional issues, the Russian foreign ministry reported.

Also, a special attention was paid to the visit by the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan to Russia on April 19 and 20, including the signing of a package of bilateral documents.

“The ministers exchanged views on the course of implementation of the agreements reached by the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan on November 9, 2020, January 11 and November 26, 2021—putting the emphasis on the future steps aimed at unblocking of transport communications in the region, demarcation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. Reference was made also to the prospects of agreeing upon a peace agreement between Yerevan and Baku, with the assistance of Russia," the Russian foreign ministry statement also reads.
