North Korean leader Kim Jong-un gifted a luxurious apartment in Pyongyang to the famous TV presenter Lee Chung-hee. Housing in an elite area went to the announcer for special services to the state, the Daily Sabah newspaper writes.

Considered the star of Korean Central Television and the voice of the ruling Workers' Party, Lee Chung Hee has worked in the media for over 50 years and has announced events such as the successful nuclear test and the death of former North Korean President Kim Il Sung.

The quarter where the 79-year-old presenter received an apartment was built on the 110th anniversary of the birth of the founder of the North Korean state - until the 1970s, his official residence was located on this site.
