The military aggression of Azerbaijan in the direction of Parukh village and Karaglukh mountain range was aimed at strengthening the pressure on the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) sector which is currently under Armenian control. Tigran Abrahamyan, an MP from the opposition "With Honor" Faction in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia (RA) and a security expert, wrote about this on Facebook Saturday morning—and referring to the Azerbaijani armed forces’ recent advance in the Martakert region of Artsakh.

“The status quo of the post-war period has already created quite a difficult situation for Artsakh and Armenia. But Azerbaijan is attempting to develop its advantage and ensure final control over the ‘veins’ of Artsakh's vital security and achieve the complete de-Armenianization of Artsakh.

The Azerbaijani scenario assumes that in this way the issue of full control of Artsakh will be resolved faster.

Of course, the main assistant of this process is the RA authorities, which with their statement give a green light to Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijani advance registered in the Martakert region a few days ago is part of this chain.

It is obvious that Azerbaijan will seek new targets and vulnerable directions on the road to achieving its goal, which must be countered on the spot," Abrahamyan added, in particular.
