Artur Vanetsyan—the leader of the opposition "With Honor" Faction of the National Assembly and chairman of the opposition Homeland party of Armenia—and his supporters are holding an awareness march in the capital Yerevan.
In a Facebook livestream earlier today, Vanetsyan called people to Freedom Square from where to walk the streets of Yerevan together and try to inform why they have assembled at Freedom Square.
Earlier, Armenian News-NEWS.am reported that Artur Vanetsyan announced on April 17 the start of protests—and with no term or end—at Freedom Square in downtown Yerevan. Sometime thereafter, Nver Kirakosyan and Artur Avagyan—two participants of the 44-day Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) war in the fall of 2020—announced an indefinite hunger strike, and they came to Freedom Square Monday morning to start this hunger strike.
