Armenian parliament Vice Speaker Ruben Rubinyan received the Netherlands Ambassador Nico Schermers.

According to the press service of the National Assembly, the parties discussed the current situation and challenges in the region. R. Rubinyan presented the situation in Artsakh as a result of the recent actions of the Azerbaijani units, humanitarian issues.

Rubinyan thanked the colleagues of the Dutch Parliament for adopting resolutions condemning the 44-day war unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh in the fall of 2020 and its consequences.

The process of democratic reforms in Armenia was also touched upon. R. Rubinyan stressed that the Armenian authorities will be consistent in carrying out the initiated reforms.

The interlocutors touched upon the deepening of the Armenian-Dutch inter-parliamentary cooperation, the need for mutual visits, the implementation of joint programs on the parliamentary platform.
