Germany will provide Ukraine with an additional 37 million euros of assistance for reconstruction, the country's Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development has announced.

The announcement came after Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said an early end to the war was unlikely. 

Stephanie von Ehrlich, a spokeswoman for the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, told CNN that 37 million euros will go towards various initiatives. In particular:

About 22.5 million euros for the reconstruction of the power grid, 14.4 million euros for the restoration of houses for IDPs from Ukraine, 2 million euros for medical equipment.

The ministry has reallocated funds for this through the emergency aid program, said German Development Minister Svenja Schulze.

According to her, the restoration of Ukraine will require the solidarity of the international community.

The World Bank was once founded to rebuild Europe after World War II. In the future, he can play an important role in helping to rebuild Ukraine, she added.
