The 5th round of talks between high-ranking representatives of Iran and Saudi Arabia took place in Baghdad, Tasnim reports.

It is noted that the talks discussed the main problems on the way to restoring ties between the two countries.

Iraqi and Omani officials played an effective role in resuming negotiations between Tehran and Riyadh.

Nour News, a newspaper affiliated with Iran's Supreme National Security Council, broke the news, predicting a meeting between Iranian and Saudi foreign ministers in the future.

Representatives of Iran and Saudi Arabia have held several rounds of talks in Baghdad in recent months.
