Javakhk Diaspora of Russia claims for an immediate explanation for the statement that Georgian president made during the interview to The Business Year - Azerbaijan 2011 magazine.

Georgian President Mikheil Saakasvhili said that was devoted to the 20th anniversary of independence of Azerbaijan and that Georgia and Azerbaijan should stand for each other “paying attention to our geographical position and common history.”

“We share common interests and have strong ties. Both states [Georgia and Azerbaijan] have serious problems regarding unsolved conflicts. Any enemy of Azerbaijan and Georgia is considered to be a common enemy for both states. Our power is in unity and these are not just words but a reality,” stated Saakasvhili.

Javakhk Diaspora of Russia accepted the expression as if Saakashvili considerers Armenians his enemies.

“We, the Javakhk Diaspora of Russia, assume the president’s statement is one-sided desire to see Armenia among his opponent states, if Saakashvili does not reject what he has said in that interview. Otherwise we together with Armenians living in Samtskhe-Javakhk will start civil disobedience and will boycott the upcoming parliamentary and presidential elections,” reads the statement, Armenian News-NEWS.am reports.

The statement put in danger the issue of continuation of good relations between Armenia and Georgia.
