Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, who is in New Delhi to participate in Raisina Dialogue forum, met with Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on Monday, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

Ministers Mirzoyan and Jaishankar expressed satisfaction with the high level of political dialogue between the two countries. Ararat Mirzoyan highlighted the strengthening relations with India as one of the priorities of Armenia's foreign policy.

The sides discussed the implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of the Indian Minister of Foreign Affairs to Armenia in fall of 2021. The sides touched upon the perspectives of the further development of the relations in the spheres of information technologies, aviation, education, culture, tourism and other areas. The parties stressed the effectiveness of the works carried out in recent months and expressed readiness to gradually deepen the interaction.

Ararat Mirzoyan underscored that he arrived in India accompanied by the representatives of business and investment circles of Armenia whose meetings with Indian counterparts will become an additional impetus for the activation of the Armenian-Indian trade cooperation which has great potential. The sides touched upon the prospects of deepening cooperation in the sphere of transport communications.

The sides also discussed issues related to regional and international security and stability.

Minister Mirzoyan expressed satisfaction with India's position on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution. The mediating role of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship in advancing the peace process was highlighted.

Minister Mirzoyan also presented the developments in the settlement of Armenian-Turkish relations to his interlocutor.

During the meeting the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed Armenia's assistance to India in the Jammu and Kashmir issue.
