Political activity differs from business, in that in business, as a rule, they do not blindly follow the demand, but try to generate supply. Political scientist Garnik Gevorgyan stated this during a debate Tuesday.

According to him, the society longs for populism, and this causes conceptual problem.

"How are we going to overcome the situation? If we want to replace the current Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan with another Nikol Pashinyan, that is the easiest way. But in that case, the existing problems will not be solved in any way. Today's problem is in the mechanism of the political process. The current political process is based on frustration, shows, and insults," Gevorgyan said.

As per the political scientist, the Armenian society is quite able to find a replacement for the current PM, but that will not solve essence of the problem, and therefore Gevorgyan proposed going along a more difficult and longer way.

"The reason because of which Nikol Pashinyan was able to come to power must be eliminated; that is, the political mechanism must pass from the format of a showdown to a format which presupposes the existence of an idea, ideology, program," Garnik Gevorgyan explained.
