Protesters threw tomatoes at French President Emmanuel Macron during a visit to Cergy.
Macron's guards covered him with an umbrella to repel the barrage of cherry tomatoes.
Footage shows Macron and his security team making their way through the crowd in Cergy as the French leader was pelted with tomatoes. The guards took up the cause, covering Macron first with their hands and then with umbrellas.
Macron seemed to remain relatively calm during the incident.
