EU envoys have not reached an agreement on an embargo on Russian oil imports, an official familiar with the talks told Reuters.
Today, the European Commission proposed a ban on Russian oil, which will come into force in 6 months for the export of crude oil and in 8 months for diesel and other petroleum products. According to the proposal, Hungary and Slovakia will be given a longer period to adapt to the embargo until the end of 2023.
