Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev reviewed the implementation of the agreements on Nagorno-Karabakh, the Kremlin press service reported.

The conversation took place on the initiative of the Azerbaijani side.

“The implementation of the agreements between the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia dated November 9, 2020, January 11 and November 26, 2021 was considered with an emphasis on resolving specific issues related to establishing a peaceful life in the region and strengthening stability, unblocking economic ties and transport communications,” the message says.

Aliyev informed about the meeting held in Brussels on May 22 with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and President of the European Council Charles Michel.

Some topical aspects of bilateral cooperation in the trade and economic field were discussed. The mutual disposition to further deepen the Russian-Azerbaijani strategic partnership was confirmed, including taking into account the results of the Azerbaijani President's official visit to Moscow in February.
