In Armenia, tax revenues amounted to AMD 1 trillion 690 billion, while expenditures amounted to AMD 2 trillion 49 billion, Armenian Finance Minister Tigran Khachatryan said on Tuesday.

His remarks came during the preliminary discussion of the 2021 state budget performance at the National Assembly.

Thus, according to the Minister, a deficit of AMD 359.1 billion was recorded.

"The implementation of expenditures was 97.8%. According to the adjusted plan, the government worked out a program to finance the deficit of AMD 359 billion. In fact, only AMD 320 billion were financed from the raised funds," Khachatryan said.

At the end of 2021 the state debt amounted to AMD 4 trillion 430 billion, which is equivalent to USD 3 billion 6 million. Most of it is the debt of the government and AMD 220 billion is the debt of the Central Bank. The government debt at the end of the year was AMD 4 trillion 210 billion. Out of which the external debt was AMD 2 trillion 972 billion, and the internal debt was AMD 1 trillion 237 billion.
