A meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy is not excluded a priori, it must be prepared and finalized by the document, the work on which is stopped, said the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov, RIA Novosti reported.

"Our position and the position of the Russian president on the meeting with Zelenskyy is well known... A priori no one excludes such a meeting, never has, but it must be prepared, and it makes sense for Putin to meet with Zelenskyy only to finalize a certain document, and work on the document was stopped long ago and has not resumed since then," Peskov told reporters, responding to a question about the possibility of a meeting between Putin and Zelenskyy.
