Near the government summer houses in Yerevan today, during a scuffle between police officers and protesters, the police used brute force against the participants of a peaceful rally.

The video shows a policeman severely beating a protester, then leaving him lying on the ground helpless and walking away. Ignoring the citizen who had fallen to the ground, the police continued to disperse the protesters. In the end, with the help of other police officers, the man was taken from the scene.

The opposition blocked all entrances and exits to the Government building, and then headed to the government summer houses, where Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's residence is also located. There, a clash broke out between police officers and protesters, which later escalated into a mass clash with the use of special means by law enforcement officers. A number of citizens were brought to the police station. Some were severely beaten. In some cases, even hospitalization was required.
