Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia on Sunday sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Boris Johnson of the United Kingdom on the latter’s National Day, the Queen's birthday—and her Platinum Jubilee. The message reads as follows, in particular:

“This year is symbolic also for the Armenian-British relations, because 30 years ago we started the Armenian-British interstate relations, anchored on democratic values, practical interests and mutual respect.

Armenia attaches importance to its relations with the United Kingdom built over the past three decades, appreciates the United Kingdom's support for the ongoing democratic reforms in our country, the strengthening of human rights protection and the rule of law.

I am full of hope that with joint efforts in the coming years we will be able to enrich the Armenian-British bilateral agenda with new initiatives and programs for the benefit of our states and friendly peoples.”
