When the protesters wanted to march back to the NA building, however, the police refused to open the road, after which a clash broke out between the police and the protesters. The police used brute force and apprehended many demonstrators—even by beating them. Also, they used special means—in particular, smoke, light, and sound grenades. Many people, including the police, fell ill. Dozens of citizens and police officers were taken to hospital.
