Armenian FM Ararat Mirzoyan sees nothing dangerous in political appointments to diplomatic posts.
"Foreign policy challenges have changed significantly in the recent period, and they will continue to change, forming new realities. Unfortunately, for objective and subjective reasons, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia has not always been able to move in full proportion to these realities, both in personnel and content terms," FM noted.
The minister sees nothing dangerous in political appointments to diplomatic posts.
“A minister is a political position, and not all heads of foreign affairs departments are professional diplomats. The same situation is observed in the case of ambassadors. As for the recent political appointments of ambassadors, I can assure you that they are one of our best diplomats,” Mirzoyan added.
