There will be no delays in providing Armenia with European financial assistance in the amount of 2.6 billion euros, said Deputy Minister of MFA Paruyr Hovhannisyan on Monday.
In particular, the head of the Standing Parliamentary Commission on Financial, Credit and Budgetary Issues, MP from the ruling Civil Contract party Gevorg Papoyan asked what was the reason for the delay in providing these funds.
In response, the Deputy Minister acknowledged that the Foreign Ministry also had certain concerns.
“We feared that a number of programs could simply be postponed due to the current situation and the crisis. In March, I was in Brussels for consultations. All our partners assured that there will be no delays in the provision of these funds, even in the light of the general crisis situation,” Hovhannisyan said.
