The next—second—meeting of the ‘3+3’ format (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Russia, Turkey, Iran) cooperation platform on the South Caucasus issue is being prepared and will taking place in the near future. The statement came from Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at Wednesday’s news conference after talks with his Turkish counterpart, Mevlut Cavusoglu, TASS reports.

"We agreed on how to continue working in the South Caucasus. You know, the ‘3+3’ format was created on the initiative of Turkey," he said. "We held the first meeting in Moscow, the Georgian colleagues could not participate, but we emphasize that we will always be happy to see them. The next meeting is being prepared; I hope we will be able to announce that in the very near future."
