YEREVAN. – At Wednesday’s meeting with the delegation headed by President Claire Bazy Malaurie of the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe (CoE), Republic of Armenia National Assembly (RA NA) Vice President and the Head of the Armenian delegation to the PACE, Ruben Rubinyan, highlighted the official visit of the newly elected President of the Venice Commission to Armenia and appreciated the effective cooperation with the structure.
According to Rubinyan, the authorities of Armenia continue to adhere to the process of democratic reforms that began after the Velvet Revolution. In this regard, the Deputy Speaker stressed the need for the support of the Venice Commission, the NA informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Reference was made to the work of the newly created Constitutional Reforms Council of Armenia.
The President of the Venice Commission, for her part, attached importance to the fruitful cooperation.
