As the current order notes, people who want to organize trade centers and markets of consumer and agricultural goods must notify the Armenian Ministry of Finance, Armen Hayrapetyan, Deputy Minister of Finance said.

His remarks came during the discussion of the draft law "On trade and services" in the National Assembly at an extraordinary sitting of the parliamentary standing committee on economic issues.

According to the Deputy Minister, taking into consideration the fact that the activity of trade centers as well as consumer and agricultural goods markets mainly affects the main activities of the Ministry of Economy, the government decided to introduce a new legislative initiative. In particular, the authorities proposed to amend the current legislation, replacing the Ministry of Finance with the Ministry of Economy.

"Thus, according to the government's decision, the Ministry of Economy is proposed to be appointed as the authorized body instead of the Ministry of Finance," Hayrapetyan said. After a relatively short discussion, the bill received a positive opinion from the parliamentary standing committee.
