The unblocking of regional communications may create new opportunities, including in terms of diversifying the logistical connection between Armenia and Russia, said Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan at a press conference following a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
He recalled that the tripartite statement of January 11, 2021 defines a clear framework for this process.
“We hope that the working group operating at the level of deputy prime ministers, the last meeting of which was held recently in Moscow, will give positive results,” Mirzoyan said.
“We also expressed satisfaction with the first meeting of the commission on delimitation and security at the border, and we hope that it will work effectively,” the minister continued, adding that it had already been announced that the next meeting in this format would be held in Moscow. “We expect that the Russian side will provide advisory assistance to the process in accordance with the agreements enshrined in the statement of November 26, 2021,” Mirzoyan said.
