The Government of Jamaica decided to start the process of depriving the British Queen of her position as head of state, the Daily Mail reported.

The fact is that Queen Elizabeth II is formally the head of Jamaica, which makes the country a constitutional monarchy. However, the authorities of the island have decided to change this situation and reform its constitution accordingly by 2025, when the next parliamentary elections will be held in the country.

However, in order to carry out this reform in the Jamaican House of Representatives and Senate, there must be a number of votes on intermediate issues.
