The KONSTRUKTA-Defence plant in Slovakia will soon start accepting Ukrainian army equipment—which were damaged in current battles with Russian troops—for repairs and modernization. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Slovakia, Jaroslav Nad, during his visit to this state-run enterprise, DW reported.

KONSTRUKTA-Defence general manager Alexander Gursky told reporters that this plant specializes mainly in the manufacture, repair, and maintenance of artillery and missile bases. The best-known product of this company is the Zuzana 2 self-propelled howitzer. In early June, it became known that Ukraine had signed an agreement with Slovakia to receive eight such howitzers.

Since the beginning of the war, Slovakia has already sent weapons worth 154 million euros to Ukraine—and in particular, S-300 air defense missile systems.

Slovakia is now preparing to send a batch of Soviet-era MiG-29 fighter aircrafts to Ukraine.
