A while ago, police apprehended local resident Gayane Hovhanyan, her mother and her fiancé from the town square of Ararat, Armenia, and without making any legal demands.

Hovhanyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am that they were standing at the aforesaid square waiting for PM Nikol Pashinyan—who was on a working visit in the city—and they were not doing anything, but the police approached them, used brute force, and apprehend them.

"I had a question addressed to him [i.e., Pashinyan] in connection with my father's murder," the woman said, adding that police did not apprehend those who supported Pashinyan.

Hovhanyan said the law enforcement wants to take them to the Vedi town police station, and they need a lawyer.

Gayane Hovhanyan noted that there were a large number of police forces in Ararat city, and they were carrying out a strict service ahead of Pashinyan's visit.

And as reported earlier, a group of people had attempted to prevent PM Nikol Pashinyan from entering Ararat Province, but the police had apprehended them.
