The Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan has announced the verdict in the criminal case of the mass riots on the night of November 9, 2020. Lawyer Arsen Mkrtchyan told about this to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Accordingly, the court found the defendants Anri Sedoyan and Karen Marutyan guilty of the charges against them.

Marutyan was sentenced to 6 years, and Sedoyan—to 3 years in prison.

Also, they will have to pay a fine in the amount of 500 thousand drams.

According to the indictment, on the night of November 9, 2020, Henri Sedoyan took part—together with many people—in the mass riots in Yerevan, accompanied by destroying property and damaging, as well as—and reaching a preliminary agreement with Karen Marutyan—broke into three offices of the government building, and openly stole large amounts of property of others.
