Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Karen Donfried.
According to APA, "the meeting focused on a broad agenda of relations, cooperation in the energy sphere, security in the region, the post-conflict period, normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and other issues.
Aliyev said Azerbaijan wants to see South Caucasus as a region of cooperation, and highlighted the importance in terms of development of bilateral relations of the issues outlined by U.S. President Joseph Biden in his letters addressed to him on the occasion of Independence Day and during the Baku Energy Week, as well as in his letter to Joseph Biden. During the conversation there was an exchange of views on the prospects of cooperation," the newspaper wrote.
