Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan met with Tajik Security Council Secretary Nasrullo Mahmudzoda on Friday, the press service of the Security Council informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

 Tajik Security Council Secretary is in Yerevan to attend the regular meeting of the Committee of Secretaries of the Security Council of the CSTO member states.

Grigoryan noted that Armenians and Tajiks are ancient nations with rich history, traditions and culture, which is a good basis for the development of relations between the two countries on both bilateral and multilateral platforms.

According to the source, the Secretary of the Tajik Security Council thanked for holding a meeting of the CSTO Committee of Secretaries of Security Council in Armenia at a high level, saying that it was a good opportunity to get acquainted with the Armenian culture and traditions. He underscored that the relations between the staffs of the two countries' Security Councils are steadily developing. During the meeting, the secretary of Tajikistan's Security Council also presented the terrorist threat on the Tajik-Afghan border and Dushanbe's steps to combat these challenges.
