The term of ‘With Honor' parliamentary faction head, Artur Vanetsyan, who has resigned his parliamentary mandate, will be terminated in a week after the announcement of his resignation by the Speaker of the National Assembly.
Vanetsyan's resignation is already posted on the official website of the National Assembly.
The next candidate on the ‘With Honor' bloc's electoral list is former MP Martun Grigoryan. It is unknown whether he will take the mandate or not. Calls to Grigoryan went unanswered. No other members of the faction could be reached either. It is still unclear who will lead the faction.
Artur Vanetsyan resigned his parliamentary mandate today and the Homeland Party, which he headed, decided to continue its political activities outside of Parliament.
“The Board of the Homeland Party has made a decision to continue [its] activities outside the parliament. By the decision of the party, the ‘With Honor’ bloc we formed with the [former ruling] RPA [party] (…) [hereby] de jure and de facto ceases to exist."
