Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan met with Governor of the Central Bank of Armenia Martin Galstyan on Wednesday; the press service of the Armenia President informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues related to the Armenian financial market.
The CBA Chairman presented to the president information on the possible risks and control of the exchange rate fluctuations of the Armenian dram and foreign currencies. Galstyan also touched upon the topic of anti-competitive phenomena on the currency market, measures taken by the Central Bank to eliminate them and sanctions imposed.
The President, in turn, highlighted the importance of pursuing a flexible monetary policy in the current realities. He also praised the role of the Central Bank in stabilizing and balancing the Armenian financial market.
