Political consultations between the Armenian and German foreign ministries were held in Berlin.
On the Armenian side, the consultations were conducted by Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan.
During the consultations, the parties discussed a broad range of matters that are on the Armenian-German political agenda, emphasized the intensification of high-level bilateral political dialogue, reflected on the judicial and legal system reforms taking place in Armenia, the prospects for further deepening of cooperation in several domains, as well as the current programs in the development policy and humanitarian fields.
Also, deputy FM Hovhannisyan presented the current situation on the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) conflict, and stressed the importance of this conflicts peaceful settlement process within framework of the co-chairmanship of the OSCE Minsk Group.
The interlocutors touched also upon a number of pressing issues that are on the regional and international agenda.
Along the lines of his visit to Berlin, Armenian FM Deputy Paruyr Hovhannisyan met also with Wolfgang Silbermann, Director of the Department for International Affairs of the Office of the German President; and Christian Aulbach, Deputy Head of Department for Foreign and Security Policy of the German Chancellery.
