The Kremlin confirms that Russian President Vladimir Putin will go to Tehran on 19 July, where he will participate in a trilateral summit with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, and will also hold bilateral meetings, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, RIA Novosti reported.

"Yes, we can confirm that. Indeed, the president's trip to Tehran is being prepared. There will be a meeting of the heads of the guarantor states of the Astana process. This is, as you know, the process to facilitate the Syrian settlement," he told reporters.

Peskov noted that the Russian president has both bilateral and trilateral contacts planned in Iran.

"Indeed, there will be a meeting between Putin, Raisi and Erdogan. In addition to the trilateral meeting, of course, there will also be a bilateral meeting. Yesterday we reported on the upcoming high-level contacts between Putin and Erdogan. And this meeting will also take place there," he said.

Peskov said that Putin will go to Tehran on 19 July, Putin's meeting with Erdogan is scheduled for the same day.
